Dear Gordon:-

This is the first letter I wrote to you. Thanks very much for that money you sent me and you can send as much as you like.

It is raining to-day and was nearly snowing this afternoon. We started back to school to-day but Miss Owens & Miss Dickens are both sick and don't expect to be back for a week. Old Weiden sent the first form home and got the second and third in the first form because with the girls up at Georgetown or they will be getting fired. I heard that some minister up there was wanting to have all the girls fired that ran around with the soldiers. They have a new fellow in the bank of Toronto and wanted Cornwall to go away but he wouldn't go so he resigned and is going into his father's hardware store.

Freestone's are going to build a new house and we are going to have the study decorated so things will be changed a bit when you come home again.

Jimmie Bacon says he is going to fix up the coppin? this year so as it won't leak at all but I don't think he can do it.

We expect father home any time now from Clifton Springs. Everybody here is well and when are you coming home. It is just six o'clock now so I guess I'll stop.

Yours Melville Munro.
