Dear Gordon;

I was very glad to get your letter yesterday and thank you very much for the enclosure. It is certainly very acceptable and I have no doubt I can find a use for it. I don't think I will be able to come up Thursday as father was speaking to the doctor the other day about me travelling and he said nothing doing. However I will come as soon as I can. What in sam hill is "klinks?", and is there any chance of you & Scout being promoted to anything. Did you hear about Jimmy MacMillan and John Houghton who used to be fireman in Carson's Planing Mill and drove their horse before "Major" did? They have meningitis but I haven't heard since Saturday morning how they are.

There are about ten Tom cats chasing Freestone's old cat and having a sam hill of a time and embarrassing every person that looks at them. This morning they were doing it on Freestone's front window so to morrow morning I am going to get Sighs gun and shoot all I can.

The bunch drove up to Milton yesterday afternoon and got home about 1.30 this morning. Bain drove them up and Shar, Art, Gord & Flemming went in a cutter. Goldie tried to kiss Margaret Cuthbertson coming home and got a lecture for his trouble. I didn't go. Goldie and I were up at Evan's Friday night for a while and about all "sigh" could say was "gosh." Myrtle Armstrong was there. Kathleen Masson has the measles so Annie came up to Cordingley's to board today. Ethel has been sick since Thursday with a bad cold and upset stomach. I am going up to the High School tomorrow afternoon to judge a debate in the first form between three girls and three boys. Have you heard from Marns Eatough yet? She said she was going to write you both. Burn this letter as soon as you are done with it and try to get home Sunday. Remember me to Scout & Misses Robertson.
Sincerely Your Brother

Ed Munro
