Dear Gordon, -

You certainly did do it in a hurry. Just to think you are on your way to uphold our honour in Europe. I certainly congratulate you on going but I am still unconvinced that you boys are needed.

Received your card to-day and wanted to write while you were in Georgetown. I am not sending this in care of anyone so will put my box on it so it can be returned if you don't happen to get it.

You know last Saturday night at the rink one of the boys who lives but works at Head Office in Bank of Toronto told me a friend of his was going to Oakville to take the teller's place while he was away and that the junior was going to the war but of course I thought he was mistaken but now I see not so.

How long will you be in Georgetown? I would simply love to see you as a brave soldier. Come down some time and see me. You could come down some night and go in the morning so you wouldn't miss any practice. Our league is going up to Georgetown a week from Monday night Feb 15th and if I don't get to see you before perhaps I could then.

In your letter you said you saw Griff and she heard from me & not from Inez and then you said "she's right there with the goods" what did you mean?

The next time you send a message with Art you had better write it.

We have had some grand hockey games here lately and I simply love it.

Really I must ring off. Wishing you the very best of success and all best wishes remember me to Brock.

Yours Fleda.

I hope you don't lose in weight anymore. I feel about the same as you do in Bronte sometimes but still I'm here.
