Dear Mother,
Here, it is Sunday again. Time seems to go very quickly over here and Sunday is nearly always the same as any other day. To-day is the second time we have had a church parade since I joined the company. This last week we have had some fine weather. It was just like spring and it was hard to believe that it was the middle of winter.
I haven't had a chance to see Brock

yet but hope to pretty soon. It is rather hard to get to see another person when he isn't in the same division. I am feeling fine as usual and not having such a bad time of it. I don't think that the war will last very much longer and it is the opinion of most of the fellows over here.
I may get a leave to Paris pretty soon and may go to Italy if I can scrape up enough cash. If I go to Italy I will likely stop off a couple of days at Paris, Marseilles, Nice, Naples & Rome. Some

class! Eh?
There hasn't been any Canadian mail for more than a week but we are, as usual, expecting some all the time. How are Ed and Nora getting along? From all reports he must have a crush on her. Is she as good looking as she used to be?
There isn't much to write about so I will close.

Love to all,
Melville
